Media pitch to Pamala Fayerman, a medical and health issues reporter for the Vancouver Sun.

Hi, I'm Josie Palermo, with AbCellera, a Vancouver-based biotechnology firm focused on researching and developing human antibodies to help combat diseases and pandemics.

The story I'm proposing is about the impact of Covid19 on the homeless population in Vancouver. AbCellera is partnering with The NightShift, a not-for-profit that supports the homeless in Vancouver. AbCellera has been working tirelessly in their efforts to fast track the Covid19 vaccine. To help Canadians in the meantime, they are supporting The Nightshift with fighting Covid-19 among the homeless by donating Covid19 testing and sanitation kits to slow the rapid spread of Covid19 among homeless shelters.

This is a compelling story for the Vancouver Sun because the homeless population is one of the most vulnerable groups in our society, with limited access to proper sanitation and medical services. This would highlight Vancouver based businesses while showing the cities united front in the face of the pandemic.

Influencer Pitch

Good afternoon Alexa,

My name is Josie, and I am the head of communications at AbCellera, a Canadian biotechnology company based out of Vancouver. We find your drive remarkable, as we watch you not only succeed through medical school but consistently post and create content for your various social media platforms. We love to see your posts about staying safe during the pandemic while completing your rotation in the United States.

As professionals in the field of research and medicine ourselves, we understand the hard work it takes. We are currently working tirelessly to advance our drug discovery platform to identify antibodies. It is our top priority to find the vaccine for Covid19.
